First off I'm sorry I haven't posted anything lately. I was moving into a new place. What is all your excuses?
Well if you don't know already O.J. Simpson had paid our small city a little visit. Somehow the Juice has found himself into a little trouble. I am proud to say I helped brake the story. Here is how it goes: Late Thursday night (I was three minutes away from quitting time) our desk got a tip that Metro Police were investigating a robbery attempt by O.J. We quickly tried to confirm it with Metro(they like to keep things quiet), but we got it out of them that it was true. So I was OFF to catch me the Juice.

I wanted that shot badly. We were the ONLY station at the scene. I got plenty of police video, but I wanted the video of O.J. in handcuffs. I'd be instantly famous I tell you. I tried everything possible to get it.

Like climbing on top of my truck. At first my fellow photog Benka and I tried to get on the property to fire off a few quick shots before we were kicked off. Which happened within 30 seconds. Hence on top of the truck shots.
As it turned out while we were on stakeout, O.J. was already questioned and released that night. No "perp walk" for now. It was still an exciting three hours. Plus we were the only ones with video....you may have seen it on CNN...yeah that's my video with the gain cracked!!
So everyone was on O.J. standby for the weekend. The police claimed they wouldn't act until Monday, but we all knew better. I was called in on Saturday to do a weather live shot. This is odd for us because we NEVER do this. It was a complete disaster. Someone neglected to write up the truck I took out. So there was no live shot. Normally this wouldn't be a problem for me, but this live shot was on the far end of the valley in a very wealthy neighborhood, and was a ordered by the top guy at the station. Failure shouldn't have been an option. (no pics of this, I was too pissed off)

So I was pissed off and decided to screw off being on standby, and I went out. I ended up watching Helmet play in a dive bar. This place is really fun, downtown, and it is always filled with locals. Guess what? They had PBR for $2!

I even got the front man of Helmet to sign my can. It is all crashed because I tried to keep it save in my pocket. Well I stayed out all night, got so drunk that I passed out around sunrise watching The Office and playing Wii at the same time. Oh yeah, I also missed the all page for the O.J. arrest on Sunday. I would have probably been in the way anyways. Now it is a circus around here. Every major news organization is in town asking for dubs of my video.
The good thing is this week is a short one. On Thursday I'm heading to the Pacific Northwest for the weekend. I'll be in P-town for a few days and Seattle a few. Pictures to be continued.
