So I went to my first professional basketball game tonight.



I brought a camera... actually two. Go figure.

My seat was pretty darn good, court side actually. So good that some guy from Cleveland named Lebron tried to sit in it early in the 1st quarter. I wasn't intimidated by his bullying antics, and realizing that he got up and ran to the other side of the court rather quickly.

The game was good but I really couldn't sit back and enjoy it. Everyone in my section was taking pictures, all the freaking time. Like all game long. So not wanting to act out of place, I followed the herd.

The Blazers led all game. But in the end that jackass Lebron hit a game winning layup with 0.3 left on the clock. Kind of a downer.

Oh well, I was sat on by a bizzillionaire.

I didn't get a photo of our General Manager, Susan, who came to bowl in a floor length evening gown. I was shooting video for the newscast... which never aired... punks.

But I always find it entertaining when group of photographers get together. I brought my camera out to shoot video for the station and probably 5 or 6 different shooters shot some video. Not to mention everyone's little digicams...

Cold has settled in on the metro and I know I'm going to shoot a story tomorrow in the cold about how people shouldn't be out in the cold, but we'll be out in the cold and the powers that be won't see anything wrong with that, though being outside for more than five minutes will give you frostbite, but a photographer and reporter should definitely be outside to shoot a story asking people what the hell they're doing outside, and oh, can you do a live shot out at the pond hockey championships?

Oh, I forgot. The Saturday high is -2. The high.
And that is without the wind chill.
